East Coast Swing

East Coast Swing is taken from the music of the 50's. It is a spot dance meaning it does not progress around the dance floor but stays in it's own area. The basic step is triple step, triple step, rock step or 1&2, 3&4, 5, 6. For beginner dancers, to make it easier, they might start out dancing Side, Side, Rock Step or 1,3,5,6. East Coast Swing can be danced to 50's style rock music or country.
